Who I am

This site is run by Andy, trading as Safe Serve Solutions, based in the UK. I'm the "data controller" for any personal information collected through this site — which just means I'm the one responsible for looking after it properly.

What information I collect

When you use the enquiry form on this site, I collect whatever you choose to fill in:

• Your name
• Your email address
• What you do (your business or trade)
• Your phone number, if you give it — it's optional
• Your current website, if you have one
• What you're currently paying for your website, if you tell me
• Anything else you add in the message box

I don't ask for anything I don't need, and nothing marked optional is required to get in touch.

Basic technical information (like browser type and general location) may also be collected automatically by my hosting provider, Netlify, for security and performance purposes. This is standard for any website and isn't used to identify you personally.

How I use it

• To reply to your enquiry and have an honest conversation about your website
• To understand your current situation so I can give a fair, accurate answer on pricing
• To keep a record of the conversation if we go on to work together

I don't use your information for anything else. I don't sell it, rent it out, or pass it to anyone for marketing purposes.

Lawful basis

• Legitimate interest — responding to a genuine enquiry you've chosen to send me
• Contract — if we agree a website build or hosting arrangement, I need your details to deliver it

How long I keep it

If we don't end up working together, I'll keep your enquiry for up to 12 months in case you get back in touch, then delete it. If we do work together, I'll keep what's needed to manage that relationship for as long as it's active, plus a reasonable period afterwards for accounting and legal purposes.

Who else sees it

Your enquiry lands directly in my inbox. The site is hosted through Netlify, who handle the technical delivery of the form but don't use your information for their own purposes. I don't use any other third-party tools, trackers, or advertising services on this site.

Cookies

This site doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. Netlify may set essential cookies required to serve the site securely — these aren't used to track you around the web.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Ask what information I hold about you
• Ask me to correct anything that's wrong
• Ask me to delete your information
• Ask me to restrict or object to how it's used
• Ask for a copy of your information in a portable format

To use any of these rights, email andrew.holland@safeservegroup.co.uk. I'll respond within a month.

If you're not happy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) — though I'd appreciate the chance to sort it out directly first.

Changes to this policy

If how this site handles information changes, I'll update this page and change the date at the top.
